Dear Parents and Guardians:

On behalf of the teachers and the entire staff, I extend a warm welcome to your children and you at Toussaint Louverture Elementary. The 2007-2008 school year promises to be both productive and exciting.

I welcome our newest staff member, Mr. Luis Valle in Art. It is an honor to have him join the Toussaint Louverture family. We wish him much success in his tenure at our school.

Important Information:

1. Uniforms are mandatory: Students must wear their uniforms every day.

2. Lunch Application: Complete and return the 2006-2007 Lunch Application.

3. Emergency Contact cards: Complete and return two Emergency Contact cards.

4. Dismissal:

Pre-K, Kindergarten, First: 3:00 p.m. every day.

2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th: 4:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

WEDNESDAY: All students are dismissed at 3:00 p.m.

 5. After School Supervision: No supervision after 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Pick up your child on time. It is not safe for students to wait outside to get picked up after dismissal.

 6. After-School Care: After school care is available every day from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We are grateful to all the PTA(Parent Teacher Association) volunteers for their services and support throughout the school year. I encourage all parents and guardians to join the PTA and to volunteer in the school. Remember, you do not have to volunteer in order to join the PTA. Please continue to work with the teachers and the administrative staff, as a team, to ensure the success of your children for the 2007-2008 school year.
